Patrick J. Dunstone
Executive Director
Patrick Dunstone serves as Executive Director of One Delta County, where he works to strengthen Delta County’s economy through business retention and expansion, strategic recruitment, workforce development, infrastructure coordination, and long-term community wealth creation.
Patrick brings a multidisciplinary background spanning economic development, technology, finance, product marketing, sales, nonprofit operations, and civic strategy. He holds a B.A. in Social Relations & Policy and Economics from Michigan State University and has completed the Economic Development Council of Colorado’s Basic Economic Development Course. His professional experience includes work in fintech, advanced mobility, state government, volunteer and supply-chain operations, and local economic development, giving him a practical understanding of both emerging industries and the everyday needs of rural communities.
At One Delta County, Patrick’s work focuses on helping the county compete for investment while preserving the character, independence, and quality of life that make the Western Slope distinctive. He is especially interested in rural innovation, workforce housing, manufacturing, energy resilience, value-added agriculture, transportation and logistics, local capital formation, and partnerships that connect Delta County businesses and communities to broader regional and national opportunities.
Patrick believes economic development works best when it is relationship-driven, locally rooted, and built around the strengths already present in a community. He is committed to listening carefully, building trust across municipalities and sectors, and helping entrepreneurs, employers, institutions, and local leaders turn shared priorities into actionable projects.
Outside of his professional work, Patrick enjoys spending time with his wife and son, exploring the outdoors, and supporting efforts that help rural communities thrive for the next generation.
